January Employee of the Month

Please join us in congratulating our January Employee of the Month, Martina Shope! Martina is one of our incredible and hardworking LPNs at Concord Health and Rehab. She loves providing the best care to our residents and being able to make a difference in the end stage of some residents' lives. Prior to becoming an LPN, Martina worked as a Nurse Aide for 16 years. She originally got into the healthcare industry because her mom was a Nurse Aide and loved her job. Martina wanted to follow in her mother's footsteps and later found her passion in long-term care.



Martina has spent most of her career in long-term care but has experience in other areas of healthcare as well. What pulls her back to this industry the most, though, is the residents. She really enjoys becoming part of their extended family. Martina is committed to her career and developing relationships with the residents and their families. She has been known to call in and check on residents' family members if they aren't here on their scheduled days to make sure everything is okay with them. We are so lucky to have someone as compassionate and caring as Martina on our team!

Martina is happily married with a big family that's growing, including two sons, a nephew and six grandchildren. She enjoys riding motorcycles with her husband in her free time. We are so fortunate to have her as a talented nurse but also as someone who truly cares about her residents! Thank you for everything you do, Martina!
